NATIONAL TRADE PRODUCTIONS PROMOTES THE VALUE OF TRADE SHOWS ON SKY RADIO NETWORK
Producers of TS2 to Reach Tens of Thousands of Business Travelers on American and Northwest Airlines
Alexandria, VA, April 20, 2005 – Passengers on American Airline flights in June and Northwest Airline flights in July who tune into Forbes Sky Radio Network will have the opportunity to listen to Tamara Christian, President of Alexandria, VA based National Trade Productions (NTP) talk about the importance of trade shows to a company's marketing mix. NTP, a leader in producing and managing trade expositions, conferences and events, is the producer of TS2 - Where Trade Shows and Corporate Events Begin.
"Being interviewed on Forbes Sky Radio promotes the trade show industry to business travelers who are conveniently trapped in their seats," said Tamara Christian. "Our goal in the interview was twofold: to promote the importance of trade shows and to promote TS2 as a vehicle to educate exhibitors."
In October 2004, NTP acquired the TS2 event from the Trade Show Exhibitors Association (TSEA). TS2 focuses on how trade show exhibitors and corporate event managers can best generate leads, minimize costs and significantly increase their results. TS2 will take place July 12- 14, 2005 at the Washington, DC Convention Center.
Christian's Forbes Sky Radio interview airs on more than 27,000 flights with over 3.4 million business travelers. During the interview, Christian makes the business case for trade shows citing, "Exhibiting in trade shows or hosting corporate events becomes the only face-to-face opportunity, other than field calls, to meet customers. According to Exhibit Surveys, leads gained from exhibiting cost 56% less to close than those generated from field sales calls. One salesperson can meet 3 to 4 different buyers in one hour at a trade show. That can't be done in a full day with field calls."
"As our society becomes more and more tied to technology for communication, we lose the face to face interaction that used to rule business. In today's world, trade shows continue to thrive because there is still tremendous value in networking, in meeting the people behind the brand and in touching or demo'ing the product before buying. The trade show industry is the best source for connecting buyers to sellers and people to people," said Christian.
