NTP in Action

The GOVgreen Conference and Exposition has placed 11th on Expo Magazine’s Top 25 Fast-Growth Shows of 2011. To compile the list Expo magazine concentrated on both performance metrics and new strategies, innovative ways of showcasing exhibitors and use of new media and IT.

National Trade Productions closed out 2011 with a great celebration—in 2012. Following a tradition of January holiday parties, NTP hosted more than 80 staff and “plus-one’s” last Friday to toast the conclusion of a successful 2011 event season. View the photos from the evening here. 

“We’re proud of the great work we delivered this past year,” said Robert Harar, CEO of Alexandria-based National Trade Productions. “The past few years have been challenging for the exposition industry, but we’re now seeing the beginning of the recovery. In fact, attendance for Coverings 2012, staging in April in Orlando, is currently trending 15% ahead of the previous show in Orlando in 2010.”

Over 1400 professionals from the federal government and military, consulting and contracting firms, universities and associations gathered in Washington November 30 – December 1 at the CEIL’s 2011 GOVgreen Conference and Exposition.

“Our verified attendance increased by almost 30% over 2010,” according to Ann Seltz, President, Center for Environmental Innovation and Leadership. “Exhibits grew by 70%.”

On Tuesday, September 20, NTP staff members wore red in support of public transportation and Don't X Out Public Transportation Day.

On Wednesday, August 24, NTP held its 2nd Annual Employee of the Year Luncheon at Chadwick's in Old Town, Alexandria. The Employee of the year Luncheon honours NTP employees for their hard work and dedication over the past year.

On August 17 and 18, representatives from NTP, APWA, The Expo Group, the Denver CVB and facility services met at the Colorado Convention Center to finalize plans for the 2011 APWA International Public Works Congress & Exposition, coming up September 18-21 in Denver, CO.

On Monday, August 15 and Tuesday, August 16, 2011, representatives from American Public Transportation Association (APTA), Freeman, NTP and Lakeshore Audiovisual flew down to New Orleans for the final tie-down meeting for APTA’s EXPO 2011.

On July 20, NTP staff members and consultants enjoyed NTP Fun Day 2011 at NTP Chairman and CEO Bob Harar's house. This year's event was luau-themed and featured authentic Hawaiian cuisine, raffles, games and beautiful views of the Potomac River.

NTP is pleased to announce that it will provide full show management services and produce the 26th International Electric Vehicle Symposium. Hosted by the Electric Drive Transportation Association (EDTA), EVS is the largest electric drive exhibition in the world.
