Based just 7 miles outside of Washington, DC, NTP has been producing and managing trade shows and events for more than thirty years. Today, we manage more than a dozen events, including three Tradeshow Week 200 events. Critical to our success has been the entrepreneurial nature of our company. This desire to develop new ideas and focus on innovations is a cornerstone of our corporate philosophy.
NTP was founded in 1976 with the introduction of FOSE, America's Information Technology Exposition, targeting the federal government. Under NTP's ownership, FOSE became a Tradeshow Week 200 event with 180,000 nsf of exhibit space, 75,000 registered attendees and a conference program featuring more than 200 sessions. In addition to FOSE, NTP developed Fed Micro, an 85,000 nsf event with more than 55,000 registered attendees; and Fed Imaging, a 35,000 nsf show with 10,000 attendees.
In 1977, NTP expanded its scope to include the management of association-owned events and turned its full attention to client events in 1994 with the sale of NTP's federal show division to Reed Elsevier, a Belgian-based publishing company.
As a result of its continually exceptional marketing and design services, NTP launched the Creative Solutions Group (CSG), in 2001. A design agency specializing in the marketing needs of trade shows and conferences, CSG has built a client base of more than 25 shows and has a tremendous track record of client loyalty and results.
Since 2002, NTP has successfully phased in conferences and expositions focusing on America's public safety. In July 2002, GovSec was introduced to the federal, state and local government security and security vendor community. In 2003, U.S. Law was introduced and co-located with GovSec. 2004 saw the continued growth in the public safety sector with the introduction of Ready!, co-located with both GovSec and U.S. Law. In 2007 NTP sold these events to 1105 Media where they joined FOSE in 1105's Federal Media Group.
2004 also saw the purchase of TS2 - THE Industry Event for Exhibit and Event Professionals, a conference and exposition focusing on best practices, proven strategies, new ideas and resources to enhance performance for trade show exhibitors and corporate event managers.
Currently, NTP consists of three divisions -- the proprietary division, comprised of the show we own; the client events division, comprised of the shows we manage for clients; and the Creative Solutions Group, comprised of our in-house design agency.
