Attendee Information

Why attend the 15th World Congress on ITS?

Executive, Special, Scientific and Technical Sessions
Over 200 sessions will make for an outstanding program featuring more than 750 industry experts and world renowned speakers who will cover a broad range of ITS issues that are important to you.

Exhibit Hall
Over 60,000 square feet of exhibits featuring products and services from hundreds of leading suppliers will display their latest technologies inside the World Congress Exhibit Hall at the Jacob K. Javits  Convention Center.

Vehicle-to-Vehicle and Vehicle-to-Roadside Communication Technologies
Also known as Vehicle Infrastructure Integration (VII), this demonstration will include dozens of innovative mobility solutions operating on the streets and highways of New York and will build upon the momentum of the Innovative Mobility Showcase that was a huge success for both the public and private sector attendees at the 12th World Congress on Intelligent Transport Systems in San Francisco. We expect an even larger participation in New York. The live demonstrations will showcase technologies that will provide for the most effective management of public facilities, protect public investment in transport infrastructure and enhance and expand public safety and mobility options.

Technical Tours
A broad range of technical tours will be available to delegates. These tours will feature both state-of-the-art facilities including the New York State Department of Transportation's INFORM Center on Long Island, as well as transport facilities of extraordinary significance, such as the George Washington Bridge, “the busiest vehicular crossing in the world."

Award Presentations
Annual Meeting attendees are invited to a special ceremony honoring the 2008 Best of ITS Award winners, Outstanding State Chapter award recipient and the winner of the Student Essay Competition.
